On September 13th, the “Welcoming New Students and Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival” 2024 Welcome Party for International Students was held at YCIT, organized by the School of International Education.

Vice Dean of the School of International Education Qi Juan, the team of international students’ teachers, more than 50 international students from 7 countries, and more than 30 Chinese students joined together to welcome the new international students and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Qi, on behalf of the School, extended a warm welcome and sincere greetings to students. She introduced the freshmen YCIT's history, the concept of talent cultivation and the achievements of international exchanges. She hoped that international students would actively learn Chinese language and culture as well as professional knowledge, laying a solid foundation for future career development. At the same time, she also hoped that everyone could become a bridge for the cultural exchange between China and other countries.

The senior student from Thailand, Tai Shilei, on behalf of the senior students, delivered a speech. He said that he had experienced a rich and colorful campus life at Yancheng Institute of Technology and had learned how to think independently, face challenges and collaborate with others.

Newcomer representatives from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Thailand, namely NOMAN EJAZ, ARKO BARUA and JIRAPAT SEEHAMONG, respectively shared their personal experiences at YCIT.

Everyone expressed that coming to study at YCIT was very exciting. Students from different countries with various backgrounds could gather together because they all shared the same goal. They hoped that everyone could keep learning and growing at YCIT and become better.The party was jointly hosted by Zhou Dongjiang from China and Fang Qiulin from Thailand. Some Chinese students and international students presented wonderful performances.
