Recently, the results of the 9th China International College Students’ Innovation Competition (2023) (formerly known as the "Internet+" Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition) were announced. YCIT's project " Integrated culture of shrimp and polychaeta worms " won the Silver Award in the higher education competition. This marks YCIT's second national silver award in seven years, with only three similar universities in Jiangsu province reaching the national finals.
YCIT had 542 projects with 2,218 student participants. After progressing through school-level competitions, provincial online reviews, provincial finals, specific training, and national online reviews, the team successfully advanced to the national finals. Only 26 undergraduate universities from Jiangsu province qualified for this stage. During the preparation for the finals, the team participated in multiple mock reviews, intensive training sessions, and presentation rehearsals. Several experts from within and outside the province were invited to guide and optimize the project, helping to improve project quality and enhance students' comprehensive abilities.
The China International College Students’ Innovation Competition has become a powerful driver for innovation and entrepreneurship education in Chinese universities. It is now recognized as the world's largest student innovation competition, with the widest participation, broadest coverage of universities, largest number of competing teams, highest level of competition, and greatest influence in the field of student innovation and entrepreneurship.
