President Shao Rong and Vice President Xing Xiaoping of Yancheng Institute of Technology (YCIT) visited Taizhou as part of a special initiative to strengthen industry ties and promote graduate employment on the afternoon of April 29. The delegation was accompanied by local employment department leaders and industrial representatives, as well as other leaders of YCIT.
During the visit, President Shao and his team conducted an in-depth tour of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, gaining insights into the company's development history, future plans, job vacancies, and talent recruitment standards. They engaged in discussions focused on enhancing industry-education collaboration, innovating talent cultivation models, and promoting high-quality graduate employment.
At the school-enterprise exchange meeting with Jiangsu Tengtian Industrial Furnace Company, President Shao highlighted the development journey, distinctive approach to talent cultivation, and current employment initiatives of YCIT. He emphasized that since its founding in 1958, YCIT has remained committed to its mission of nurturing well-rounded, industry-ready professionals, contributing significantly to regional economic and social development. YCIT places great importance on graduate employment, and promoting students to employers is not only a concrete step in implementing the Ministry of Education's initiative for university leaders to visit enterprises and expand job opportunities but also a "touchstone" for evaluating the quality of talent cultivation. He expressed hope that both sides could further align talent cultivation with employer needs, establish regular communication channels, and implement the enterprise outreach initiative at all levels to achieve deeper collaborative development.
Vice President Xing expressed gratitude to Jiangsu Tengtian for its support in providing comprehensive employment opportunities for YCIT students. He proposed further collaboration in areas such as internships, joint training programs, and industry-academia projects to create new possibilities for school-enterprise cooperation.
YCIT will continue to strengthen ties with local governments and industries, creating effective platforms to match graduates with suitable job opportunities. By acting as both a "career advocate" for students and a "quality evaluator" of talent development, YCIT is paving the way for graduates to achieve fulfilling and high-quality employment.
