From May 8 to 9, the 2025 National Science and Technology Base Conference was held in Handan, Hebei Province. The conference was organized by the National Advisory Committee for Professional Master's Degree Education in Agriculture and China Agricultural University (CAU). Nearly 300 experts, graduate students, enterprise representatives, and farmer representatives from 31 provinces and 106 universities and enterprises across China attended the event. YCIT Party Committee Secretary Fang Hailin led the delegation, accompanied by personnel from the School of Graduate, School of Marine and Bioengineering, and other relevant departments.
The conference focused on the theme "Advancing the Integrated Development of Education, Technology, and Talent," with participants collectively planning and promoting the high-quality development of Science and Technology Base. The event featured one main forum and two parallel forums with discussions centered on "Improving Livelihoods - Supporting Farmers," "Academic Development - Green Agricultural Production," and "Talent Cultivation - Agricultural Revitalization." Experts and scholars from various universities and enterprises delivered a total of 26 specialized presentations. During the conference, an exhibition showcasing Science and Technology Base achievements was also held, and participants visited the Quzhou Science and Technology Base cluster to investigate its innovative model for integrating education, technology, and talent development.
This year, YCIT once again participated in the Science and Technology Base Achievement Exhibition, where the School of Marine and Bioengineering displayed important accomplishments in talent cultivation, technological innovation, and social services through poster presentations and physical exhibits.
YCIT will continue to focus on reforming and improving the professional master's degree education model, fully integrating industry needs into graduate education and scientific research. While continuously enhancing the quality of graduate education, we aim to comprehensively improve our capacity to support rural revitalization and contribute to local economic and social development.
