On December 20, Professor Sai Gu, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering UK and Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Warwick (UoW), led a 34-member delegation from the UK Society of Outstanding Young Scholars to visit YCIT. Shao Rong, President of YCIT; Ding Cheng, Vice President of YCIT and Vice Chairman of Yancheng Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; and Chen Feng, Deputy Director of Yancheng Municipal Development and Reform Commission, attended the event. Principal representatives from YCIT's administration, Office of Science and Technology, Graduate School, and International Cooperation and Exchange Department also participated in the meeting. 

Shao Rong and Ding Cheng extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefed them on YCIT's educational programs, international cooperation, scientific and technological innovation, and contributions to local development, expressing their willingness to deepen cooperation in talent development, academic research, and other areas.

Professor Sai Gu expressed gratitude for YCIT's warm reception and spoke highly of the university's achievements. He looked forward to leveraging the strengths of the UK Society of Outstanding Young Scholars to actively explore various forms of collaboration, including joint research and faculty-student exchanges, so as to contribute to the development of YCIT.

The two parties also conducted in-depth discussions on research and development in Yancheng's new energy, green, and low-carbon sectors, as well as international cooperative education programs.

Prior to the meeting, the delegation visited YCIT's Industry-Education Integration Exhibition Hall, where they learned in detail about the university's history, talent cultivation, scientific achievements, and industrialization efforts.
