Recently, the China Association of Higher Education announced the results for the selection of “Featured Projects” under the 2025 China-Africa Universities 100 Partnership Program. A total of 15 projects were selected nationwide. Among them was the project “R&D and Application of Additive Manufacturing Technology for Sino-African Dental Restorations”, led by Professor Liu Shuangyu’s team from the School of Mechanical Engineering at YCIT, which also received funding support. YCIT will take this opportunity to actively leverage its strengths and collaborate closely with African partner universities to further deepen inter-university exchanges and cooperation between China and Africa.
It is reported that the China-Africa Universities 100 Partnership Program focuses on ten key areas, including digital education, health and medicine, and agricultural development, aiming to promote multi-disciplinary and multi-dimensional in-depth cooperation between Chinese and African universities. In 2024, YCIT was selected as a member Chinese university in the field of Environment and Sustainable Development under this program, and its cooperative project was included in the UNESCO “Campus Africa” initiative.
