According to the latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) data released by Clarivate Analytics on July 10, 2024, YCIT's "Environment/Ecology" discipline has entered the global top 1% of ESI rankings for the first time. This represents another significant breakthrough in YCIT's disciplinary development, following Chemistry, Materials Science, and Engineering disciplines which previously ranked ESI global top 1%.

Currently, Yancheng Institute of Technology has four disciplines ranked among international high-level categories, demonstrating a positive trend in disciplinary construction and steadily expanding academic influence.
