The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education recently issued the Notice on Announcing the 2024 Construction Organizations for Jiangsu Provincial First-Class Applied Undergraduate Universities, officially approving Yancheng Institute of Technology as part of the first batch of Jiangsu Provincial First-Class Applied Undergraduate Institutions.

The Jiangsu Provincial First-Class Applied Undergraduate Institution initiative aims to implement key national policies on deepening industry-education integration and building high-quality undergraduate education. The program responds to emerging demands in technology, economics, industries, and markets by developing a select group of applied undergraduate institutions with national leadership, strong application capabilities, and high social contribution.

YCIT has consistently maintained its position as a "high-level applied university," with our goal of becoming a "high-level first-class applied university." YCIT has undergone nearly 20 years of transformation toward an applied institution and is currently recognized as part of the Ministry of Education's "Excellence Program" and the National "13th Five-Year" Industry-Education Integration Project. Our innovative applied talent cultivation model has previously won two National Teaching Achievement Awards.
