On August 21st, a delegation led by Konstantin Arent, the mayor of Zwickau City in Germany, consisting of other four members, came to visit YCIT accompanied by Wu Yinzhu, the director of the Foreign Affairs Service Center of Yandu District. Zhang Qinfang, YCIT vice president, delivered a speech on behalf of the school, and Qi Jinhua, the director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, presided over the meeting.

President Zhang reviewed the cooperation history between YCIT and Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau.

Mayor Constance Arndt of Zwickau and Professor Ingolf Stefan Kessel, President of the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau, provided comprehensive overviews of the city and the university, respectively.

During the communication, both parties expressed similar concepts of applied higher education and expressed willingness to further expand cooperation and exchanges in multiple academic fields on the basis of the existing cooperation between the two universities.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the Yan Longhu Advanced Technology Research Institute.

The city of Zwickau in Germany and the city of Yancheng in China are sister cities to each other.

Zwickau is the home to the famous German composer Robert Schumann and also an emerging industrial center of automobiles in Germany.

Automobiles are the leading industry in this city. World-renowned groups such as Volkswagen, BMW and Porsche have settled down here.

Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau is a public applied technology university. It was established in 1897 and adheres to the educational philosophy of integrating theory with practice. It offers more than 70 undergraduate and master's programs in fields such as engineering, business administration, health management, language and cross-cultural communication, and design.
